Rob Ward and Chris Peters started Quad Lock in Melbourne with a Kickstarter campaign in 2011 to produce a premium iPhone mount that cyclists could have confidence in keeping their phone secure on their bike while riding.
Cyclists worldwide flocked to the campaign, and Quad Lock was born.
Fast forward to 2024, and Quad Lock is global, serving millions of customers in over 100 countries around the world. Their range has expanded to device mounting across action cameras and smartphones, covering adventurous pursuits like overlanding, adventure touring, aviation, marine, and off-roading.
To ensure they had a scalable supply chain able to support future growth into new markets and new channels, in mid-2023 Quad Lock selected DMS, the ANZ experts in supply chain technology, to assist with the next stage in their supply chain planning evolution.
Through DMS, in a project headed up by Senior Business Consultant Russell Miller, at the end of 2023 Quad Lock went live with the Logility solution, delivering improved outcomes from Go Live:
– The long-term visibility of inventory & purchase projections has allowed Quadlock: To plan & meaningfully collaborate with their vendors,
and order accurately around shutdown periods to ensure inventory availability.
– Longer term demand planning has Quad Lock visibility of projected revenue over a longer horizon.
– Logility’s configurable analytics platform has delivered the reporting to enhance Quad Lock’s S&OP process.
– Forecast accuracy last quarter has shown marked improvement thanks to Logility’s ability to recognise patterns in Quad Lock’s channel sales and replicate current trends.
– Slow moving/obsolete inventory has easily been identified resulting in Quad Lock’s inventory being reduced while still maintaining their targeted service levels.
“Russell Miller was integral to successful deployment of the Logility platform in Quad Lock. Russell was not only very patient and supportive through an extensive change management process, but his ability to quickly understand the drivers of the Quad Lock business was vital in ensuring the appropriate configuration of the platform. I have worked with a vast number of external partners on numerous supply chain transformation initiatives over the last 15-20 years and Russell has been a standout partner. He constantly went above and beyond to ensure the project’s success. He was as focussed on delivering the business case objectives and outcomes as the internal team. Russell has continued to support the Quad Lock team post Go Live and embraces problem solving in the context of the business environment.” Quadlock Executive Project Sponsor.
