DMS Career Summary

Greg has been working with Demand Management Systems since March 2002 implementing demand forecasting and replenishment / distribution planning systems for companies in Australia and Asia Pacific, spanning the Automotive, Agricultural, Textiles, Health and Consumer Goods sectors.

Some of the recent Demand Solutions implementations have been:

  • New Balance (Footware & Apparel)
  • Intervet Schering Plough (Animal Health)
  • Cosmetics Cubed (Cosmetics)

As well as new implementation, Greg has been called on by a number of clients to re-model systems in response to changing business needs.

Some example have been:

  • Whirlpool Australia
Restructuring data and processes for forecasting and replenishment/distribution planning, transitioning from old to new ERP system.
  • Sigma Pharmaceuticals
Streamlining demand forecasting processes in support of Sales & Operations Planning initiatives.

Previous Career Summary

Greg’s career began with over 10 years at a multi-national company, Pilkington Glass; initially in Sales & Marketing and progressing through corporate planning roles to materials management where he was responsible for planning products through the company’s vertically-integrated supply chain from manufacturing, processing and wholesale distribution.  All of these roles required the supporting business systems to be configured and used effectively to deliver the business objectives.

After Pilkington Glass, Greg moved to a divisional planning role with CSL Ltd where he implemented Demand Solutions and Cognos.  He was the divisional delegate on any project involving the BPCS ERP system (upgrades/functional requirements) and led the Oliver Wight trained Sales & Operations Planning taskforce.

Through day to day forecasting and inventory planning work, Greg oversaw a 75% reduction in backorder line items and 80% reduction in product write offs (biological products with limited shelf life).

Greg’s broad business experience has given him the ability to understand often complex business requirements and deliver business systems in a practical and easily adopted way.
