DMS Student of the Year Awards

Demand Management Systems Student of the Year Award 2006 has been won by Karen Steinhoff in recognition of her academic performance and effort as she undertakes the Certificate of Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) through APICS. The award recognises the considerable effort required by students in obtaining this certificate and acknowledges the value that the qualification has to the supply chain industry.

Lloyd Sheather, Managing Director, Demand Management Systems presented the award to Karen Steinhoff, and runner-up Maurice Jeffries, at an APICS Celebration evening on the 13th of September. Mr Sheather, who also holds the CPIM certification, congratulated the winners and said that “Demand Managements Systems was proud to be supporting students as they sought to improve and maintain professionalism within the supply chain industry.”

“We feel that by recognising academic excellence in this way, we contribute to a greater understanding of demand and supply chain management processes which are essential to the growth and sustainability of the industry.”

The award includes an opportunity for Karen to attend the SMART 2007 conference in June, allowing for her further professional development.

Bill Thompson, President of APICS NSW thanked Demand Management systems, who provide supply chain and demand management forecasting consulting and software services, for their continued support and generosity. “The support of DMS allows us to further the aims of APICS - providing increasing practical education opportunities and improving professionalism within the sector.”
