Career Summary:

Shortly after finishing an Engineering degree, Malay started to assist in the Family business managing supply chain through various states of India. To understand and better appreciate the multinational business environment, Malay moved to Australia and achieved his Masters degree and also gained experience in Inventory Management Systems through a Business Analyst position with IBM.

Since then, Malay joined ORICA Chemnet as Inventory Controller and gained further insight on supply chain processes. Malay has delivered strong business process in one of ORICA’s division and achieved significant reduction in Inventory through accurate forecasting and Inventory optimization workshops. Malay then advanced to Supply Chain positions and implemented six Sigma projects to improve purchasing systems and established business processes for 3PL warehouses, Sub-contractors and in-house manufacturing.

Malay also gained strong system knowledge through being part of successful implementations for SAP ERP Systems. Malay continued to lead successful implementations of Warehouse Management Systems and Forecast Management Systems. Malay has also developed a successful sales plan to reduce obsolete inventory by $1.3M along with overall inventory reduction of $3.5M.

Malay brings sound knowledge on Inventory Management and business re-engineering along with strong analytical and project management skills.
